Attic Condition US Model 1833 Dragoon Saber and Socket Bayonet
1) 1833 Dragoon Saber by Ames. 33.75" slightly curved single edged quill-back blade, 39" in overall length. 5.5" hilt with cast brass two branch guard, knuckle bow and single branch counterguard. Grooved wood grip with leather covering and five remaining wraps of twisted wire. Markings and etching extremely weak, no scabbard present.
2) US Model 1855 Socket Bayonet. Unmarked 18" blade with 2.875" socket, 20.875" in overall length.

Condition
1) Attic condition with a thickly oxidized brown patina and moderate amounts of scattered surface roughness. Markings on blade extremely weak and mostly illegible. Grip with moderate wear and loss to both the leather and the wire. Hilt with a rich, uncleaned patina.2) Attic condition with a thickly oxidized brown patina and moderate amounts of scattered surface roughness. Socket dented and out of round, locking ring bent.
